Aujourd’hui à Chipley, à 10h30 heure locale s’est déroulée une cérémonie d’hommage à Marcel Albert par le dévoilement d’un buste à son effigie.
Compte tenu des conditions sanitaires, les membres du Mémorial Normandie-Niémen n’ont pas pu se déplacer.
C’est pourquoi, au même moment soit 17h30, heure de France, nous nous sommes réunis à Paray-Vieille-Poste, devant la stèle dédiée à Marcel Albert, afin d’honorer ce héros qui a permis au monde de vivre libre.
Une personne proche du Mémorial Normandie-Niémen, résidant aux Etat-Unis, qui a connu et accompagné Marcel Albert dans les dernières années de sa vie et jusqu’à sa dernière demeure, nous a fait l’amitié de nous représenter à Chipley.
